Terms of Service, summarized.

This page summarizes the terms that govern using Quencee. The full Terms of Service document ships with the launch legal pack and is currently in draft, pending attorney review — nothing here is in force until an effective date is published.

Plain language on purpose. Where this summary and the full Terms differ, the full Terms govern.

What Quencee is (and isn't)

  • We operate a marketplace where Members book independent Tastemakers for live video sessions. Tastemakers are independent contractors, not our employees or agents.
  • Advisers are human, never AI. That's a product promise, not a warranty of any particular outcome.
  • You must be 18 or older and in the United States to use the platform.

Booking, cancellation, refunds

  • Prices at booking are what you pay: The Catch-Up $59 (30 min), The Deep Dive $109 (60 min), On Call $199/month. A booked session is honored at its booked price.
  • Free cancellation until 24 hours before start. Inside 24 hours, the session is charged. Member no-show (more than 15 minutes late) is charged.
  • Tastemaker no-show or late cancellation: automatic full refund plus priority rebooking. Tastemakers take strikes for this — three strikes pauses their profile.
  • Quality disputes: report within 48 hours; a human reviews.

The important rules

  • Payments run on Stripe; we never see full card numbers.
  • Not professional advice. Sessions are personal experience and taste — never financial, medical, legal, or any other regulated professional advice.
  • No recording without consent. Sessions are not recorded unless both parties opt in through the platform.
  • The conduct policy applies in both directions — Members and Tastemakers alike.
  • Non-circumvention:for 12 months after your last session with a Tastemaker you met here, don't hire them for the same thing off-platform.

The full draft covers accounts, ratings, IP, dispute resolution, liability limits, and termination. It ships in the legal pack (legal/terms-of-service.md) and takes effect only after attorney review and a published effective date. Questions: hello@quencee.com.
