Policies, in plain language.

These are the operating rules every session runs on. The full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy say the same things in longer sentences.

Sessions

  • Sessions happen on-platform — a video link is generated per booking and emailed before the session.
  • Recordings are OFF by default. A session is only recorded if both parties explicitly opt in.
  • Tastemakers speak from lived experience, not as licensed professionals. Nothing in a session is financial, medical, or legal advice — and tastemakers won't frame it that way.

Cancellation & no-shows

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the session start.
  • Inside 24 hours, the session is charged. (Reschedule before the window closes and it's free.)
  • Member no-show: the session is charged.
  • Tastemaker no-show: automatic full refund to the member, and the tastemaker takes a strike. Three strikes pauses them from the directory.

Refunds

  • Tastemaker no-show → automatic refund, no ticket required.
  • Technical failure on our side that prevents the session → refund or free rebook, your pick.
  • A session happened but genuinely missed the brief → email us within 48 hours; a human reviews every case. We're small enough to be fair.

Ratings

  • Ratings are double-blind: neither side sees the other's rating until both are in (or the window closes).

Payouts

  • Tastemakers are paid weekly via Stripe Connect.

Safety & conduct

  • The anti-harassment policy applies both directions — members and tastemakers alike. Violations end accounts.
  • All tastemakers are 18+. Verified during vetting.
