How it works

A briefing, not a feed.

Quencee is a marketplace of vetted human tastemakers — for individuals who want to stay current without living online, and for brands that need real signal instead of a trend deck.

For members

  1. Browse the roster. Six lanes: Style & Fashion, Slang & Internet Culture, Apps/Devices & AI, Music & Going Out, Watching & Listening, Food & Drink.

  2. Pick a time, right on the profile. Open slots for the next 7 days sit on every profile in your local time. One click on a slot and you're a single screen from booked — The Catch-Up (30 min, $59) or The Deep Dive (60 min, $109), price visible the whole way.

  3. Brief your tastemaker. Two intake questions on the same screen as your details, so the session starts specific, not small-talky.

  4. Take the call. Live video, on-platform. Recordings are off by default and require both parties to opt in.

  5. Stay current. Follow-up notes, a rebook nudge when your currency starts to decay (it will), and gift sessions for the friend who still says things are “lit.”

What “vetted” actually means

Every tastemaker passes a four-stage funnel before they can take a single booking:

  1. A written application with three currency prompts.
  2. A timed 45-minute Trend Brief — a work sample under time pressure, not vibes.
  3. A 20-minute calibration call, scored 1–5 on five dimensions: currency, articulation, range, reliability, taste. Accept requires a 4.0 average with no dimension below 3.
  4. A social scan for real following and brand safety.

Then it never stops: a quarterly re-certification keeps the “Verified Current” badge honest. Fail twice, and a tastemaker is paused from the directory. Each profile shows its last re-cert date — check it.

The rule that isn't negotiable

Human, never AI.

Every session, panel, and brief is delivered by a real, vetted person. AI can summarize the internet; it can't tell you what your outfit signals at a specific party in a specific city this specific month.
